How it works

Get an Estimate
We will measure your home and provide you with pricing to custom fit our energy efficient LED lights to your home. You pick the design, color and pattern, and we take care of the rest.

Pricing By The Foot
The initial cost includes the lights, installation and takedown. We take a 50% deposit to get your lights ordered and assembled. The remaining cost includes the installation and take down, which will be billed upon completion.

Yearly Cost
Once you have purchased the lights - they are yours to keep! The following year we will install and take down your lights at 50% of the initial cost.

Maintenance
We will provide maintenance for your lights at wholesale price. We supply extra bulbs, clips, socket cable and photocell timers. If a bulb needs replacing, we will provide the part at the factory pricing.

Takedown
Starting January 15th, we will take down your lights, label them and store them in a bin that we will provide. The lights are yours to keep and store at your home. If you want to leave your lights up longer then please let us know and we will schedule the take down accordingly.

Enjoy the lights
These lights are commercial grade LED. They are energy efficient and use minimal power. These lights are built to last and maintain without having to throw out the string just because one bulb goes out. The socket cables are cut to the specs of your home without any loose wires hanging out. Transitions are cut seamlessly, and our flat wire extension cords are hidden neatly in the display.

How do you price your projects?
It’s easy, our pricing is based on how many linear feet of lights you want installed on your home. Just give us a call and speak with one of our quote specialists who can walk you through pricing and also cost of materials. Most installations take a few hours once we have your lights ordered, assembled and ready to go. If you are new to our service then we will require a 50% deposit to order and assemble your lights. The lights are yours to keep, and the following years the cost will be 50% of the initial price – for installation and take down only. An important fact to remember is that we’ll work within any budget, as our success is based partially on our service-oriented flexibility. If the cost is acceptable, we’ll schedule a time to take care of the work.
Once you pick your design, you can always add more lights on the day of installation or over the following seasons. Just let our Project Manager know when the staff arrives and he/she can provide you with ideas, suggestions and a total amount before the crew starts the job.
Do you take the lights down at the end of the season?
Yes. We begin taking lights down on January 15th and continue to do so until the end of February (this is heavily dependent on weather and ice build-up on the roofs and in the gutters). We also organize your supplies in bins that we provide so that you can easily access them the following year. The lights are yours to keep and store at your home. The following year you pay for installation and take-down only. The take-down is already included in our Christmas lights installation program.
Is your work guaranteed?
100%. Our success depends on your satisfaction, and we’ll make changes if you desire them. We are interested in building long-lasting customer relationships, and will gladly provide references upon your request.
For the installation of our lights we offer free service calls if anything should go wrong or stop working. We guarantee our materials except for unforeseen circumstances. In these unexpected situations, repairs will be billed as additional services (service call) of $175 plus any material required to resolve the problem.
We offer a seasonal guarantee on any lights we sell you assuming you have our technicians install, and take them down each year. We do this to ensure the lights are handled and stored properly to prevent damage. Over the years your lights will require some general maintenance: we provide all the replacement parts at factory price and the maintenance labour is included in our service.
What if my lights fall down?
Even though our experienced staff will make sure that everything is secure as best as possible the first time, there are things that can happen to lights for a variety of reasons, including wind, rain and other unforeseen circumstances.
If this occurs due to our error, our professional staff will return up to two times to re-hang and/or secure the lights quickly and efficiently free of charge. We will consult with you regarding the necessary changes that might be required to better secure your lights.
We will do our best to position and reinforce your lighting display to withstand the elements. We will also consult with you before the installation about any areas of concern regarding snow. Please advise us of any sites you may be concerned about. Heavy snow can cause lighting displays to fall and is not covered under our warranty. This is simply out of our control. However, we offer a discounted service fee of $100 for snow-related issues.
What if my lights stop working?

Coastlinelights is committed to giving you the brightest home on the block this holiday season. We do this by providing hassle-free Christmas light installs and takedowns every year and it doesn’t stop there! Our professional-grade Christmas Lights products are covered by our Christmas Lights Commitment.
Our Christmas Lights Commitment means that starting from the original install date, Coastlinelights will cover any product defects (under specific conditions) of your Christmas Lights products for three years. Please review the information and the full terms and conditions enclosed in our estimate proposal for more details.
Will you install my store-bought lights?
Unfortunately, we do not install store-bought lights or any lights that are not provided by us. We can not fix, service or warranty these types of products. We can not tailor our services to create displays according to our company standards using products other than our own. Additionally, our insurance does not cover liabilities associated with and potentially incurred from using products other than our own. We thank you for your understanding and will gladly provide you with a free quote for our long-lasting, commercial-grade lights!
Are you insured?
Yes we are fully insured. We are registered with Worksafe BC and keep a clearance letter with us at all times.
We have Working At Heights certification in accordance with provincial and federal guidelines. We keep a copy of this at all times.
We maintain 2 million liability insurance at all times, and a copy of our insurance certificate is enclosed in our estimate proposal.
